FILM NEWS: We've completed 4 of 6 filmed vignettes entitled O2:2:CO2 as an exclusive to Building Design magazine's new web features. The first 3 vignettes deal with imagery from O2 to Canary Wharf in an idiosyncratic way, slanted towards a modernistic canvas, whereas the following concluding 3 take a 'now' approach to quasi prosaic historical references from St Paul?s (Blackfriars) to The South Bank. The premise being the flow of the river and its relation to London's architectural heritage. Just as London arose from Londinium and its proximity to the Thames, so the river and its gateway to the sea opened up infinite possibilities for exploration and discovery. What however we were unaware of at the time, was how poignant the footage from Canary Wharf would prove to be as ironically we were shooting just prior to the catastrophic events which overtook the city making for some really eerie footage. We've just completed a new short 'POOLSIDE', working with stills imagery (shot in LA) in an observational humorous take on getting a script away in Hollywood. We're also working (seriously..) on developing a number of projects including a feature entitled (working) "FIGURE THIS" from our short, "THE INCANDESCENCE OF ONE MAN'S JOURNEY TO REMAIN A SOLID OBJECT" an eclectic, stylish, noir piece which was well received at Cannes 2008. "Incandescence" is partly a 'follow-on' from "4014" which has now won awards featuring in festivals including Clermont Ferrand, LA, New York, Florida, Strasbourg and Cannes 2007. A consummate performer he well deserves his shaman status. And the roar when they kicked into Get Carter could be heard across London. The Jazz Cafe hadn't seen anything like it!" The Guardian?
